T&H Successfully Appraised at CMMI® Level 3
T&H has once again been successfully rated at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development Maturity Level 3. T&H was rated Level 3 using CMMI in 2007 and then again at Level 3 in 2008 using the new CMMI for Development Model. This third company-wide appraisal demonstrates a significant commitment to excellence in process improvement and software development.
CMMI is a framework of industry best practices for improving the management, development, and maintenance of products and services. CMMI was developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), a federally funded research and development center. Benefits of using the CMMI include reduced cost and higher productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. CMMI is recognized as the standard of excellence in government and industry, and the U.S Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes CMMI ratings to be predictive of organizational performance.
T&H' rating resulted from a rigorous assessment by the CMMI Institute using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI). Maturity Level 3 confirms compliance in 18 process areas spanning management, engineering, and support activities.
