T&H's EA CoE Delivers Innovation for Major Government Initiatives

T&H is a pioneer in the development and implementation of Enterprise Architectures (EAs). In the mid 1980s, founding owners Deana Herbert and Rodney Thomas served as members of the Tiger Team that developed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Command Data Architecture, which is widely recognized as the first enterprise architecture in the Federal Government. The Command Data Architecture formed the basis for the current Defense Architecture, the world's largest enterprise architecture, encompassing artifacts for all Defense systems aligned with and supporting all major Defense services and functions.

Exemplifying its leadership in EA, T&H established the only Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on solving Government business and information technology challenges and advancing the discipline of EA. The CoE provides clients with a "product neutral" environment for web-enabled collaboration and decision support, system testing in a secure, fail-safe testing environment, an on-line repository of business transformation lessons learned, best practices and deliverables from a portfolio of projects, and Experts on Call to help address a wide variety of business challenges.

The EA CoE has delivered tremendous value for past and/or current efforts undertaken by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Labor, District of Columbia Housing Authority, and the Industry Advisory Council's Enterprise Architecture SIG and Architecture Plus.
