Silver Spring, MD - December 15, 2005 - Thomas & Herbert Consulting LLC (T&H), a leading provider of IT consulting services for the Government, today announced that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the CIO (OCIO) awarded the company a $2.5M task order to continue providing Watch List Technical Integration Support. The one-year order was issued under a five-year BPA that DHS awarded the Firm in 2004. The BPA is worth up to $30M over the five-year life of the contract.

T&H is using a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to deliver full lifecycle systems development, network engineering support, program management support, and policy and information sharing, which ties into DHS' ongoing effort to improve business processes for terrorist screening and watch list data. T&H's work includes coordinating with the Federal and DHS Data Reference Model, the Terrorist Watch List Person Data Exchange Standard, the Global Justice Exchange Data Model, and the emerging National Information Exchange Model initiatives to ensure watch list data used by DHS is aligned with these initiatives to assure interoperability and improved information sharing.
