Former Treasury Chief Architect Joins Thomas & Herbert Consulting LLC (T&H)

Silver Spring, MD, December 13, 2004 - Thomas & Herbert Consulting LLC (T&H), a management and technology consulting Firm, announced today that Michael Dunham, the former Chief Architect for Treasury, has joined T&H as its Chief Architect. Mr. Dunham will spearhead T&H's strategic EA activities, assist clients with solving complex business problems via EA and e-Gov solutions, and lead the Firm's EA Center of Excellence.

As Chief Architect at Treasury, Mr. Dunham served on the Governance sub-Committee of the Architecture and Infrastructure Committee of the Federal CIO Council that assisted OMB in developing the Federal EA. He led the recently formed Chief Architects Forum that is assisting Chief Architects across government to collaborate in identifying and resolving the most pressing issues facing them. Mr. Dunham took a sabbatical from Treasury from 1999 - 2001 to serve as the Director of the National Academy of Public Administration's Center for eGovernance. Prior to his sabbatical, Mr. Dunham served as the Change Manager for the OCIO at Treasury. He oversaw reorganization of that office's internal operations. He also served on a team under the direction of the Deputy Secretary of HHS that was responsible for developing a series of recommendations for the reorganization of departmental operations. Mr. Dunham also worked with the National Performance Review, assisting in the development of a series of recommendations to improve government operations through the use of IT.

Mr. Dunham's new role further positions T&H as a leading EA service provider. T&H's EA pedigree dates back to the 1980's when its founders helped to develop the Army Corps of Engineers Architecture, a catalyst for today's Federal EA activities. T&H's EA client list includes Army, DISA, the Patent and Trademark Office, National Archives and the IRS. In 2004, T&H secured new EA contracts with HUD and the State of Maryland, as well as service-oriented architecture development for Terrorist Screening at the Department of Homeland Security.
