Business Process Improvement/Reengineering
T&H's proprietary methodology for business process reengineering (BPR), "Accelerated Process ChangeTM"
was authored by our CEO Mr. Rodney Thomas in conjunction with his renowned text entitled Federal Government
Reengineering; "Truth or Dare" which was published in 1996. T&H has successfully implemented our methodology
in support of numerous client organizations.
BPR is a complex process requiring high levels of
skill and experience in a variety of consulting disciplines. Accelerated Process ChangeTM provides a set
of general guidelines, approaches, tools, and techniques that are intended to assist experienced consultants
in planning and conducting BPR projects in a broad range of organizations and business situations. The success
of any BPR initiative depends critically on the knowledge, experience, and judgment brought to bear in applying
this methodology to the unique requirements of the specific situation. Therefore, the application of any
particular guideline, approach, tool, or technique depends on the circumstance.
In order to achieve significant breakthroughs in business performance, T&H's experience has shown that
the following factors must be present:
- On-going executive and senior management sponsorship, involvement and direction (not just sign-off)
- Clear, quantifiable project and process goals that stretch the organization's thinking and drive
benefits definition
- Emphasis on people and empowering the workforce
- Strong, cross-functional participation through energized and committed teams with the right resources
- Management communication of the vision and goals throughout the organization to mobilize key resources
and accelerate adoption
- Integration of organizational change management throughout the BPR process
- Demonstrated early success with a focus on "quick hit" as well as long-term benefits
- Consistent, flexible methodologies that guide analysis and exploration
- Strong project management and on-going communication of progress
Accelerated Process ChangeTM was designed with these critical success factors in mind. Our six-module
methodology maximizes success by focusing on results.
