Case Studies:
The events of September 11, 2001 (9/11) are a grim reminder of the threat that World-wide terrorism presents to our way of life in the United States. Intelligence Community (IC) agencies and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) exist to create and execute measures to prevent terrorist acts and to safeguard our citizens. T&H is proud to support the mission of DHS and IC agencies via delivering business and information technology innovations, intelligence analysis and related consulting services.
Following the formation of the DHS and as a result of 9/11, President Bush enacted Homeland Security Presidential Directive-6 which mandated the establishment of a Terrorist Screening Center to help identify known and suspected terrorists. The Terrorist Screening Center was given responsibility for consolidating the terrorist watch lists, a critical step in streamlining the information-sharing process between agencies involved in homeland security. In 2004, T&H was engaged by DHS to support the Terrorist Watch List Integration project. T&H developed a service-oriented architecture (SOA) solution that provides DHS with a reliable source for data pertaining to suspected terrorists, which helps our government to deter terrorist aggression against our citizens.
